Peter K. Cloven, Nevada C.E.M. #1313, E.P., CEO

 

Peter earned a B.A. degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley (1986).  He has 30+ years of experience within the environmental consulting industry including field work, project sales, and staff/personnel management.  Peter is responsible for all phases of project management including: initial client contact and needs evaluation; proposal/workplan management, budgeting and preparation; critical path management preparation; personnel and subcontractor coordination; client and regulatory agency negotiation and liaison; progress and closure report preparation and/or review.

Peter’s project experience includes over 3,500 environmental assessments, turn-key management of underground storage tank projects (removal, assessment, remediation, installation), subsurface site characterization projects (sampling of soil, vapor and groundwater), vapor intrusion and risk assessment, remediation, design implementation, operation and maintenance, and site closure.  Peter has also performed environmental audits and prepared stormwater and air quality permits for industrial facilities.  Peter’s expertise has been sought by clients as a primary reviewer of third-party reports and as an expert witness. Peter’s clients have included the project work for the Federal government (US Air Force, US Army Corp of Engineers), state governments (California and Nevada Department of Transportation) and several county and city governments.  Additional clients have included insurance companies, lending institutions, developers, and attorneys. 

Peter’s professional qualifications include being a California Registered Environmental Assessor (through 2012 when the REA program was discontinued), a Nevada Certified Environmental Manager, and an ASTM qualified Environmental Professional

 

Travis J. Stansbery, E.P., COO

 

Travis earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (2015). He began working with Pinnacle Environmental Inc. in 2010 providing data analysis, mapping, and research activities for special projects. Since 2015, Travis has worked as an environmental assessor and is recognized as an ASTM qualified Environmental Professional. Travis’s projects include hundreds of Phase I ESAs and other research reports, site characterization (soil, vapor and groundwater assessment) projects, and remedial action oversight. Travis excels in data evaluation and research for the “hard to get” data that makes the difference when forming report conclusions.

Travis stepped into a project management role in 2019 and currently spearheads ASTM compliance, operations, scheduling, team management, and coordination of vendors and parties associated with each project. He has taken on several data analysis projects to better leverage historical information and has designed, created, and/or implemented numerous tools, databases, templates, and software to ensure compliance and promote efficiency. Travis continues to work toward integration of new technologies with organized data to better leverage Pinnacle’s 25+ years of expertise in the environmental industry.
